BITS – Digital Wildflower Generator by Resn.

In ALL, BITS by Julia Krolik

Wildflower is a web application by Resn. that uses procedural generation (a set of predetermined rules) to generate unique flowers. The user enters textual information of their choice and activates the algorithm. Ambient audio is added to each new flower creation and a click of an arrow allows for new flower iterations. This interactive work explores a multitude of virtual flower species within the confines of digital botany. It also leaves the user wondering just how much impact their text input really had on the aesthetic of the flowers.
