Kinetic Sculpture turned out to be an ideal fit for me and a perfect convergence of all of my various, seemingly\u00a0disparate, interests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-958\" src=\"https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image2.jpg\" alt=\"image2\" width=\"864\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image2.jpg 864w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image2-100x67.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 864px) 100vw, 864px\" \/><\/p>\n<div  class=\"x-video embed with-container\" ><div class=\"x-video-inner\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Etw8rJkQNX8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\"><strong>Which sciences relate to your art practice?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\">As a kinetic artist, Physics is predominantly what I focus on.\u00a0 Right now, my methods of motion heavily utilize magnetics and electromagnetics.\u00a0 At some point, once I feel that this theme has run its course, I will explore other areas of science.\u00a0 I could see moving into a little bit of chemistry and biology in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\"><strong>What do you use to create your artworks?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\">I use a lot of small hand jeweller tools, glues,\u00a0experimental materials,\u00a0magnets and electronics for the raw control of the motion itself.\u00a0 I also like to use some kind of fabric media to soften the &#8220;feel&#8221; of the piece and add a sense of extra dimensionality to the motion of magnets that otherwise only hold a rigid shape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-960\" src=\"https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image5-1.jpg\" alt=\"image5\" width=\"864\" height=\"486\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image5-1.jpg 864w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image5-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image5-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image5-1-100x56.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 864px) 100vw, 864px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\"><b><div  class=\"x-video embed with-container\" ><div class=\"x-video-inner\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VUJ6GAwLJnA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div>\n<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\"><b>Artwork\/Exhibition you are most proud of:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\">That&#8217;s hard to say.\u00a0 I feel differently proud of each piece as they represent my own evolution and ability to meet different kinds of creative challenges.\u00a0 I would say I am most proud of God&#8217;s Eye because it was an electromagnetic piece that I was able to scale to a large piece, which is very hard to accomplish in the field of kinetic art using the direct magnetic mechanisms that I am currently focused on (i.e. without the infrastructural use of motors, and rigid gears and shafts).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-959\" src=\"https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image3-1.jpg\" alt=\"image3\" width=\"864\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image3-1.jpg 864w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image3-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image3-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/artthescience.com\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/image3-1-100x67.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 864px) 100vw, 864px\" \/><span style=\"color: #363636;\"><b><br \/>\nIs there anything else you want to tell us?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #363636;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I specialize in science-art that shows the kinetic relationship between semi-chaotic animal like free motion of interdependent objects generated through a single simple mechanism, constrained through the use of unique physical shapes and media.\u00a0 I tend to use mechanisms to drive motion without the use of predictable electric motors, and rather choose to structure the motion of objects through direct material and structural design choices, which create a more natural kind of animal-like motion. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;
