About the Author

Annie Truuvert

Annie holds a Master’s in experimental psychology and an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. She has been an editor for the undergraduate psychology journal, Inkblot, and written for the Victoria College newspaper, The Strand. During undergrad, she was a research assistant in multiple psychology labs, which inspired her to develop her own scientific experiments and pursue a graduate degree. During her time in graduate school, Annie researched visual attention and memory, presented at multiple conferences, and assisted with undergraduate psychology courses. It was through taking such an active role in the scientific community that Annie became passionate about science communication and transparency. With Art the Science, she hopes to start discussions on how modern scientific initiatives impact the public, and innovative ways through which scientists can communicate their findings. In her spare time, you can find Annie taking in the latest psychological thriller, or snapping photos on a nature walk.
