Which came first in your life, the science or the art?
There was no first. I was a young person with many questions, many curiosities, many fascinations. There was just the melding of both of them.

Biology, Microbiology, Medicine, Psychology, Life Science, Sociology, Crystallography, Biotechnology, Toxicology, Epidemiology
What do you use to create your artworks?
Materially: I use a diverse range of materials in my art practice, including salt, bacteria, wax, paint, organic and synthetic materials.
Media: sculpture, installation, painting, photography, sound, animation. Interdisciplinary and collaborative approach: includes working with scientists, dancers, sound artists, poets and writers.
Artwork/Exhibition you are most proud of:
The first clay sculpture I ever made. It was of Rufus, our cocker spaniel. I still have it.
